Rockin’ to Ritzville:

A Tapestry of Memories

From Wenatchee to Walla Walla, from Salem to Seattle, The Bards share their stories of escapades in pretty much every Northwest town.  Stories that didn’t make it into  “DANCE HALLS, ARMORIES and TEEN FAIRS.”   The stories are simple, sad, mad and glad, funny and bad – the memories that made our venture unforgettable.

Every band in the world has stories.  Stories that are funny, stories that are sad, Stories that are dramatic and stories where Rockers are bad.  We have ours, lots of stories, and I suspect that other musicians will relate to ours and have similar stories of their own.  It’s part of living that life on the road.  Sex, drugs and Rock ‘n Roll was something of a mantra for bands in the 60’s and ours cover the gamut.  Some of our stories will remain untold to protect the innocent, or as the case may be…

…which reminds me of a true story from about 20 years ago, when as a consultant and upstanding citizen, I was directed into the immigration office in Toronto, Canada.  The officer, after looking me up and down, consulted his computer and informed me that, given I was arrested in 1968 for possession of Marijuana, I was in violation of Canada’s immigration laws.  “However Mr. Sheridan,” he said, “it says here that it’s possible that you’ve been rehabilitated.”  Leaning forward and peering into my eyes, he asked, “So…have you been rehabilitated, Mr. Sheridan?  Absolutely!” I replied.  “Well then, go on ahead, and good day to you.”  he retorted.

…where was I?  Oh yes, and some of those stories we may share…provided of course, that we have been rehabilitated since then.
